I have got addicted to this. Digital toons in black and white , look awesome to me. There are so many toons published in newspapers around the world. Most of them are in black n white. These always depict current news with an ounce of humour. The toonists behind them are the most wittiest people walking on this earth. Enjoy the following toons.

more digital toons

Some more random digital toons. Its so amazing to draw them digitally. Feels very crispy and Makes life easier. Ofcourse it does come with the overhead of learning the software and getting used to it. Changing between brush types, zooming in and out may make you feel Artificial. However at the end it gives a sense of satisfaction. Your art is just ready to be published. Some may refer this to artistic blasphemy but in this digital Era Is too tempting. Like everything is fair in love and war. Enjoy the toons.

It makes life easy and beautiful. Specially the richness of colours.

Caricature of Salman Rushdie

Here's a caricature of Salman Rushdie.
Scanned and uploaded.

Sketching Bhajji

The Indian Spinner. Caricaturing Harbhjan singh, typically with the kind of gesture was easy, however I was'nt satisfied with it. In no terms I felt the sketch was anywhere near to his facial features. I followed a couple of live caricature videos before sketching him. Lot of them start by a pencil sketch and then give it a final touch using a sketchpen. This turns the caricature into amazing similarity with the subject.
Rightly said that " Practice makes a man perfect". I shall keep on trying till I achieve the desired level of accuracy in getting shapes of the subject rightly on to the paper.

Few caricature trials

Hello people out there....

I know I have come back after almost leaving my intiative to be a cartoonist. With all these years I have ahd spent very few days of life thinking about cartoons. This time I felt like venturing into the field of caricaturists. This is really a fun filled and exciting experience to draw people live. However that's actually a long way to go. I am not an artist at all. Just feel like drawing out of no where. Never had any professional training. Always have tried to copy people's style.

Hence through this blog; thanks to google, I would like to be anonymous and draw as much as I can. I would really cherish if my art really develops onto something professional. However that's long long away.

I am posting some random ppl's my style caricatures. They are some who are around me and there are ppl unknown to me where I have just picked them from google or flick or even other live carucaturist's website and redrawn them.

I guess slowly and steadily this is only way to learn. My caricatures are drawn on white paper and I have taken their pictures using my mobile camera and posting them here. They may look like poor quality but this would be the only proof for myselves that I have done some thing this day.

Happy New year and take care guys!! 2012

Regards
TD
